Instant Pot Adventures!

Welcome back everyone and Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone had a great Labor Day holiday and started off the work week with positive vibes.

As promised in the last post I bought some ingredients for Chicken Soup to cook in the Instant Pot. And I must say, I’m never cooking soup on the stove top again. I am IN LOVE with making soup in the Instant Pot.

Prepped and Ready to Pressurize

I’ve placed the link to the recipe that I used but goodness gracious. The sauté feature cooked down my aromatics/mirepoix (that’s garlic, carrot, onion and celery) so quickly, with a splash of Chardonnay for added flavor. I tossed in some mushrooms before placing the chicken in the pot. Seasonings include chicken stock, chicken bouillon granules, garlic salt, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and onion powder.

Whilst making this soup, I figured I would make homemade Whole Wheat Dinner Rolls. Actually, it was the other way around. I made the soup while making the dinner rolls 😂 I based it on the recipe linked above but used Whole Wheat flour instead. I liked how the recipe called for sea salt flakes because we had some in our spice cabinet that was given to us by a friend of ours. We’re so spoiled!

What’s interesting about this dinner roll recipe is that it is made in a 9×13 casserole pan so it holds its shape pretty good. Here is the finished meal below ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Soup and Rolls

On Friday, I’ll be posting more cooking adventures, er scratch that…baking bread adventures as I tried making some homemade bread since the bread I bought last week almost killed me due to the tree nuts on the ingredient list. Let me know in the comments below what your favorite Instant Pot recipe is and what I should try next! Until then… signing off!!
