It’s flipping Wednesday. It’s Recipe drop day and I’m scratching at my brain with the sound of crickets chirping.

Good Morning!!! I hope all is well in your neck of the woods, bustling city, frozen tundra, what have you. I hope truly that life is treating you well.

Now let us get to the brass tacks of this day. And what, if you’ve got family or you’re the cook of the house, this actually means. Talk about halejulah stress sweats comparable to that of the myth of meat sweats first. We just endure it all while we cook and try brushing it off that the oven or stove was piping hot. And when we finally get to eat our work it’s cold or luke warm at best because well that’s just the life of being a parent and a hands on part of the house.

What I loath though, truly, madly, deeply loath is decisions when the time comes to make a meal. One needs to think who’ll eat, who needs more, and what will be favored and not wasted. Or for better definition having to be eaten as lunch by me for far too long. I can get away with the vegetarian meal if I’m wise about how I throw things together, otherwise it’s looks for more. My two main eaters are that of the meat and potatoes variety and don’t like venturing in to a creative take.

What I’ve learned though and I’ve kept to it, which keeps them all happy is just keeping with these five spices.

I wish my spice cabinet looked this nice. Provided by WordPress
  • Garlic
  • Onion powder
  • Salt
  • Paprika
  • Cayenne

I use many other spices but these alone have saved many a dish and have kept my family ‘mmm’ ‘mmm’ ‘mming’ till the plates are cleared.

Now here is the kicker, there will be a recipe, I just don’t fudging know what yet.

I’ve got these: butternut squash, spaghetti squash, acorn squash, apples, chicken, beef, and a plethora of spices. Oooh rice galore and steam veggie choices. What now?

Recipe coming in ??? Before the night’s end. Thank You!
